HOW IT WORKS
Ordering a Savile Row Jacket
At Savile Row, a suit is not just clothing—it’s a legacy. Every piece is crafted with the precision and heritage that has defined bespoke tailoring for generations. Here’s how your journey to owning a timeless masterpiece would set forth.
Appointments
Our appointments are available in Savile Row, London, Japan, USA or at our headquarters in Milan. Fittings take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, though we can conduct them in just 15-20 minutes if necessary.
Consultation
Step into our world of craftsmanship by visiting one of our Savile Row locations. Simply tell our specialists, "I want a suit." From there, the process is effortless. We offer a curated selection of fabrics, linings, and colors, tailored to your preferences. Whether you desire a single-breasted or double-breasted suit, the choice is yours. The only decisions you'll need to make are the fabrication, lining, and colour. Everything else is in our expert hands.
Taking Your Measurements
Once your preferences are set, we take your precise measurements. This process takes about 15 minutes. Don’t worry if your body is asymmetrical, like having trousers fit differently on each side—we account for every detail. During this time, you can relax knowing you’re in expert care.
The First Fitting
A few months after your initial consultation, you’ll be invited for your first fitting. This is a significant moment in the process as you'll try on the piece, feel its bespoke quality, and become familiar with the garment for the first time. Our tailors leave 5% of the adjustments open, which will include the cuffs, the lining and the hem of the trousers. This allows us to make fine adjustments before moving forward. And most clients ideally find that the fit is nearly perfect at this stage.
The Second Fitting
At the second fitting, we begin fine-tuning. This session is about refining the details—ensuring you’re fully comfortable in your bespoke suit. The cuffs and trouser hems are adjusted to perfection, but we keep the hand stitching visible, just in case further tweaks are needed.
The Semi-Final Fitting
A few months after the second fitting, we schedule the semi-final appointment. This is where the hand stitches are finally removed, and your suit takes its final form. At this stage, we ensure every aspect of your suit is flawless, but we always leave a bit of extra fabric for future adjustments—because a suit like this should last generations.
Completion
It typically takes about eight months to craft a Savile Row jacket. However, for those in need of a quicker turnaround—an expedited process can be arranged. While not always perfect in the first fitting, we ensure that adjustments can be made later, making it a suit you’ll continue to love and modify over time. Many clients, especially those involved in equestrian events, prefer this flexible approach and return to us later for final adjustments.
Legacy of Craftsmanship
A Savile Row suit is more than clothing—it’s divine art. Our jackets are designed to last generations, with 4-5 generations of families often wearing the same bespoke pieces. Thanks to the similarity in bone structure, adjustments can be made to suit each new wearer without losing the integrity of the original design.
We don’t just make suits—we create legacies, an heirloom, a tradition, and a statement of timeless style.
